What is ‘Remote Administration’ and how does it help you - and us!
We use the internet to create a direct connection to your Server / PC from one of our secure PC’s. Our PC’s can be anywhere in the world but typically are based in our technical offices in the North West.
Moderns Server operating systems have this functionality as standard and offer facilities for employees to connect to their work PC – but we use a similar process to connect directly to a server and your desktop PC.
In addition, there are now many 3rd party software solutions such as LogMeIn, GoTo my PC, View.me, TeamViewer, Quick Assist and many more all giving the user access to their work and home PC.
WHAT CAN WE DO TO HELP?
Keen IT Support cleverly use this facility to offer ‘reduced cost’ remote administration services to companies that cannot and do not want to justify the extra costs that an engineer on-site may cause.
For example, we have a client in Sheffield (We are in the North West) and they pay a reduced fixed monthly fee for remote support services only. This means we can manage all their email, antivirus, anti-spam, users, Sage Accounts, CRM and general server / PC’s issues all from the comfort of our offices and in the last 12 years we have been dealing with them we have visited them 9 times! - and 2 of those visits were to upgrade their IT Infrastructure
