We believe the greatest threat of infection comes from malware and spyware intent on taking money from you and stealing your identity. This includes spying on your computer and trying to get important information, such as bank account details and other information.

The 'delivery' of these types of infections are far more sinister because they can often come from what seems like your friends on email, files on pen drives and portable devices. Virus and Malware/Spyware are often thought as the same, however Anti-Virus solutions offer you ‘Real-Time-Protection’ and this is easy to do because a computer virus will contain a certain combination of characters, bits or ‘Binary Data’.

With spyware and Malware it is far more difficult to offer ‘Real-Time-Protection’ because of the way they are presented to you – i.e. through email attachments that you OPEN, a web site that you CLICK-ON or a file on a pen drive that you say YES to.

You may notice that all these actions have something in common – They all depend on ‘human interaction’ and invariably you, the user, have given these programs permission to open and because of that interaction they are far more difficult to protect you from.

These vulnerabilties come from the very software that you think is safe, but due to the way the internet has changed are now vulnerable to attack and infiltration.
